Ty Tantum, MBA, Marketing Director

Ty focuses on MJE Marketing's new business development, account supervision, creative direction and client services, while also assisting with managing agency operations. He brings a wealth of local, national and international client experience that allows him to effectively engage the diverse industries and multinational corporations residing in Southern California. From San Diego to Scandinavia and other parts of Europe, the breadth and depth of Ty's efforts are geared toward delivering creative and strategic benefits for the client. Consistently, he is driven by a simple, professional philosophy: anticipate and exceed the client's expectations.

Ty has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of sales, marketing, advertising and public relations. A strategic planning and creative specialist, he is adept at leading teams in the development of integrated campaigns for print, outdoor, broadcast and digital and direct marketing. His branding and identity expertise, as well as graphic design talents, have been deployed for clients in hospitality, utilities, retail, real estate, technology and outdoor lifestyle, among other industries.

Prior to joining MJE, Ty was vice president of a boutique creative agency in San Diego where he had major account management duties for San Diego Gas & Electric. He was personally responsible for the planning, execution, and financial accountability of multi-million dollar marketing communication efforts, including hundreds of individual projects each year. Many of these efforts resulted in marketing and communication awards recognition for both the agency and the client.

Tantum holds an MBA with a marketing emphasis and a bachelor's in economics, both from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has been a San Diego resident since 1998 and is a committee member of the San Diego Bowl Game Association.
